One of the Flowermate Hybrid X’s selling point is its ability to vaporize a wide variety of materials. These include botanical plant matter, wax concentrates essential oil extracts, as well as flavored e-liquids an e-juices. Here’s how the Flowermate Hybrid X gets to cater to all four material types.

First is the botanicals. Like most of the brand’s dry herd vaporizers, the Flowermate Hybrid X uses a ceramic-based chamber. This is supposed to go with a refillable pod that you can fill with herbs and slide in the chamber. However, because the pod simply just takes up space and only allows you to load a small amount of ground herbs, you’ll be better just filling the ground herbs directly on the ceramic chamber. The pods would work well if you’re microdosing or are consuming small amounts of herbs per session. The ceramic chamber makes for a great oven because it does not easily conduct heat and allows for a slow and progressive heating of your materials instead of blasting the herbs abruptly with high-temp which may destroy the active ingredients that are naturally found in these herbs.

Next is the wax concentrates. The wax concentrates are to be loaded in the same pod-like inserts but are specifically built for holding wax concentrates. They are to be inserted to ceramic chamber which offers the same low and slow heating for your wax concentrates. Because the ceramic heating chamber does not immediately ramp up heat, your wax concentrates are heated and vaporized without reaching the point of combustion. Especially when paired with a low temperature level, the Flowermate Hybrid X’s wax functionality can deliver some good quality vapors from your wax concentrates.

Now comes the e-liquids. The Flowermate Hybrid X uses an inclusive e-liquid tank to accommodate flavored e-liquids and nicotine-based e-juices. The tank is decent enough not to let the runny e-liquids leak out of it and offers the right resistance when paired with the Flowermate Hybrid X’s sub-ohm battery. That said, you can expect to pull large and dense clouds from the Flowermate Hybrid X because of how the coil resistance matches the battery in the device. The tank also makes for a great option because you don’t have to consistently drip your e-juice in it as you would in common RDA builds. The tank connects to the battery via a 510-threaded port located at the bottom of the unit.

Lastly, the oils. Because the Flowermate Hybrid X is compatible with most 510-threaded atomizers. You can easily connect a pre-filled or even a refillable 510 cart in it. That’s right, you can vape your favorite CBD oils with the Flowermate Hybrid X by simply screwing your carts on the Flowermate Hybrid X’s 510-threaded outlet. There isn’t much to say about the carts because the way it vaporizes the oils depends mainly on how the carts are built. That said, the carts we’ve tested all worked with decent vapor production.

Alright, the Flowermate Hybrid X’s multi-functional feature looks extremely good in paper. Especially for its price. However, using the Flowermate Hybrid X is not going to be as simple as one would expect. Although the Flowermate Hybrid X uses the same battery and the same unit for vaporizing wax, weed, oil, and e-liquid, it uses two different power buttons which can make using it quite confusing. Furthermore, using wax and dry herb strains shows the running temperature level in Celsius or in Fahrenheit while the e-juice and the oils shows the wattage and the voltage which could confuse beginners. Just make sure you are familiar with how a sub-ohm battery and a wax and herb works before you decide to invest in the Flowermate Hybrid X.

Precision Temperature Control

The Flowermate Hybrid X is outfitted with precision temperature settings allowing you to personalize your sessions and really dial down to the results and the effects you’re after from your select materials. As we briefly covered above, the Flowermate Hybrid X can be used for a wide variety of materials and the small display screen shows different settings when used for different materials. When in wax and dry herb mode, the Flowermate Hybrid X offers precision temperature control showing the running temperature level of the device in Celsius and Fahrenheit. The Flowermate Hybrid X offers a wide temperature range starting from 104° F or 40° C to 500° F or 260° C. This offers a good spread of temperature level allowing you to reap the lows and the highs both waxes and dry herbs have to offer. The lower temperature levels are ideal for extracting the more delicate active ingredients from your herbs and wax concentrates. These include the flavonoids and the terpenes which gives your wax its natural flavor and the added trichomes in your herbs which gives it its natural aroma. Together, these active ingredients make for a perfect blend for when you want to enjoy smooth vapors that help you get some rest and relaxation. The higher temperature levels, on the other hand, extract he strong active ingredients from your herbs and wax concentrates allowing you to get vapors that really get you. They are great for reaping the psychoactive compounds in your wax and herbs so you can get that face-melting session that can knock you off your socks.

When used in oil and e-liquid mode, the Flowermate Hybrid X still offers precise temperature setting in voltage levels. When used with 510 carts and the inclusive e-liquid tank, the Flowermate Hybrid X’s lower voltage levels put out thin wisps of clouds. These make for smooth vapors that are easy to inhale and would be perfect for flavor chasers, also great for when you want to vape discreetly. On the other hand, cranking the voltage level up gives you fat clouds of vapor that are dense enough that they mimic the viscosity of real smoke. These can satisfy cloud chasers as well as connoisseurs who enjoy inhaling large clouds when at home or when they’re seshing with friends.

Overall, the level of customization you get with the Flowermate Hybrid X is great allowing you to personalize your sessions whatever type of material you are using. That said it comes with a small learning curve.
